Quincy Market is a seven-minute walk from Pi Alley Garage. Walk north on Washington Street to State Street, turn right, and the granite market building is just past Faneuil Hall on Congress Street. You arrive on foot through the plaza instead of fighting for a space in the lots around Dock Square and the waterfront.
The market opened in 1826 and its long central colonnade is still the draw: dozens of food stalls under one roof, with the North and South Market buildings on either side and street performers outside. It is packed at lunchtime on weekdays, all afternoon on summer weekends, and from Thanksgiving through New Year. The New England Aquarium, Long Wharf and the Rose Kennedy Greenway are a few minutes further east, so a lot of visitors make a day of it.
Quincy Market parking rates
