Pi Alley Garage is in Downtown Crossing, at 275 Washington Street between School and State Streets. The pedestrian crossing where Washington, Winter and Summer Streets meet is about four minutes south, and the shops, restaurants and offices of the district fill the blocks in between. If your destination is on Washington, Tremont, Bromfield or Franklin Street, this is the garage that is actually in the neighbourhood rather than on the edge of it.
Downtown Crossing is the city's historic shopping district, largely pedestrian along Washington Street, with Macy's, Primark in the old Burnham building, Roche Bros, and the Millennium Tower at its centre. Downtown Crossing station (Red and Orange Lines) is at the Summer Street corner, the Boston Opera House and the Paramount are a few doors further down, and the Common is one block west.
